5 October 2009. The CEMS MIM is a double-degree programme that is run jointly by 25 business universities from all over the world. As the only Swiss university, the HSG offers the program to students who are enrolled in the fields of Business Administration, Economics, Law and Economics or International Affairs.

The CEMS MIM can be completed in parallel with a Master’s program at the HSG. Every year, about 50 HSG students are admitted to the CEMS MIM on the basis of an assessment and outstanding academic achievements. Alumni and some 55 corporate partners additionally offer graduates an attractive network.

Underlining the quality of the CEMS
The positioning of the CEMS MIM in the FT ranking underlines the quality of the CEMS and reinforces the CEMS “brand”. Vice-President Prof.Dr. Thomas Bieger, the Vice-President and Academic Chair of the CEMS MIM and thus entrusted with the overall academic responsibility, believes that this ranking confirms the last few years’ quality investments in CEMS.

In the internal CEMS evaluation, the HSG under the academic direction of Dr. Jürgen Brücker and his team has maintained a position in the top group of the 17 CEMS universities involved for years, particularly as a consequence of its very good core courses, business projects and the overall coordination of the CEMS programme. In past years, the HSG has repeatedly offered the “CEMS Course of the Year”.

Direct participation in 2010
The rules of the Financial Times stipulate that graduates are asked about their career success three years after completion of their Master’s programme. Since, owing to the Bologna reforms from the traditional Licentiate’s degree to Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, the first graduates of the University of St.Gallen’s Master’s programs only entered the labor market in 2006, the University of St.Gallen will directly participate in this ranking for the first time in 2010.
