“Growth – the good, the bad, and the ugly”

The demand for growth is a fundamental component of today’s economic system. Since in the last few years, many developed countries have not managed to return to the path of growth any longer and even the promising future hopes for growth like China have been struggling with flagging economic growth, the questions arises whether there are limits to such growth and whether the model is in need of fundamental reforms. Also with a view to climate change, the refugee crisis, the gulf between rich and poor, as well as the question of the growth drivers of the future, the 46th St. Gallen Symposium will examine the issue of growth from various angles – the good, the bad, and the ugly.
