GUESSS The GUESSS (Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students' Survey) project investigates students' entrepreneurial career choice intentions at the global level. GUESSS was initiated in 2003 and is managed today by the CFB-HSG/KMU-HSG. The main research focus is on career choice intentions of students, and their entrepreneurial intentions in particular. We investigate various influencing factors, such as university context, family context, as well as motives and attitudes. Moreover, we are especially interested in students with family business background having the opportunity to take over their parents' business. By the end of 2013/beginning of 2014 the sixth wave of data collection took place (since 2003). In total, 34 countries from 4 continents were involved in GUESSS 2013/2014. In total, GUESSS contacted almost 2 million students from 750 higher education institutions. The final dataset contains complete responses from more than 109'000 students. The international GUESSS report has just been published and can be downloaded by clicking the link on the right-hand side of this webpage. One of the central findings of the latest GUESSS edition is that, in many countries, entrepreneurial intentions of students have decreased compared to 2011.The next wave of GUESSS will take place in spring 2016.
