30 November 2012. “Missa Urbana XXI” is a work by the conductor of the University Choir, Francisco Obieta. This urban mass combines Latin American sounds and rhythms with Latin texts from the Catholic mass. The premiere will take place on Saturday, 1 December 2012, at 7.30 p.m. in the St.Gallen Concert Hall. A second concert will be performed by the musicians on Tuesday, 4 December 2012, at 8.30 p.m. in the auditorium of the University of St.Gallen. Admission will be free of charge, but donations would be appreciated.

To realise this project, the University Choir and the University Orchestra pooled their resources. At these concerts, the HSG students will be performing with musicians of Valida, an organisation which helps people with disabilities by providing them with social integration and future prospects.
