22 February 2013. The HSG Entrepreneurship Campus operates a broadly based promotion programme to sensitise, promote and support entrepreneurship at the HSG. During the HSG Founders’ Garage, academics, start-up experts, prospective founders and young entrepreneurs exchange their ideas at the University of St.Gallen. Guests also include investors, entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs.

Making the start-up culture visible
Prospective founders and young entrepreneurs can become actively involved in the Founders’ Garage. In workshops, experts provide the tools required for a start-up. Coaching sessions provide young entrepreneurs with ways of successfully approaching investors. In addition, the HSG Founders’ Garage interlinks its visitors with entrepreneurship initiatives of other universities.

Prize for the HSG Founder of the Year
The HSG Entrepreneurship Day will launch the Founders’ Garage on 25 February 2013. On the first day of the start-up weeks, established HSG alumni will conduct an exchange with up-and-coming talents. Additionally, young founders, who are supported by grants from the Dr. Werner Jackstädt Foundation, will present their projects. In late afternoon, the HSG Founder of the Year will receive a prize worth CHF 10,000.

The prize is awarded annually to innovative and sustainable HSG entrepreneurs. In the preceding year, the prize went to DeinDeal.ch founder Adrian Locher (2012) and Dr. Alexander Ilic (2011), founder of Dacuda, a firm that developed a scanner computer mouse.
