14 September 2012. In the education it provides, the HSG sets great store by personal encounters. The renovated and extended campus, which was inaugurated in autumn 2011, supports this exchange through art and architecture. It is all the more gratifying that the HSG’s well-known art collection was also enlarged in the wake of this work.

In the first annual media conference of the University of St.Gallen, Yvette Sánchez, Chairwoman of the Art Committee of the University of St.Gallen, presented works of art by Roman Signer, Alejandro Diaz and Yan Pei-Ming as a visual “counterpoint”. The artist Roman Signer attended in person.

The juxtaposition of three works of art from China/France, Switzerland and Mexico/USA also reflected the regional and international nature of the HSG, said Sánchez. In addition, the new arrivals represented three different genres: video and neon art were now part of the collection, and a large-scale oil painting will add to the paintings already on site.
