The social sciences show us that, above a certain level of prosperity, our happiness can no longer be increased by consuming more. Nevertheless, many business models still rely on steadily increasing production figures, which goes hand in hand with growing resource consumption. In the video, transformation researcher Prof. Dr. Maja Göpel explains around which new criteria of a good, sustainable life we should organize our economy and society in the future and how optimistic she is that this change can take place without major social upheavals.
