7. September 2011. In connection with the 2011 inauguration, the University of St.Gallen would like to thank the St.Gallen population for supporting the HSG and enabling it to renovate and extend its facilities. For this reason, it will complement its Open Day with a concert that is free of charge for the audience. The evening’s main act will be 77 Bombay Street, whose single “Up in the Sky” is being played by radio stations everywhere. At present, 77 Bombay Street are in the top ten of both the single and album charts.

Energy-charged musical enthusiasm at 8.30 p.m.

The time will come on 17 September 2011 at 8.30 pm: 77 Bombay Street will be on stage in the park of the Burggraben Cantonal School to rock with their energy-charged combination of musical enthusiasm, musicality, intensity, Australian bravado and Swiss understatement.

First highlight: Monophon

The evening concert will start as early as 7 pm with a first highlight. The St.Gallen band Monophon had the honour this year of opening the St.Gallen Open Air on the Sitter stage. With their sound, which can be sampled on singles such as “Protection” and “Secret Island”, the band touches the nerve of time and hits the Swiss music scene with a combination of spherical tones and pounding beats.
