The University of St.Gallen (HSG) has been recognized by the FT as an elite business school for the third time consecutively, placing it in the top ten. Moving up to the sixth position, the HSG also has the honour of being the leading business university in Switzerland and in the German-speaking region of Europe.

The Financial Times regards the HSG as "arguably one of the business school world’s best kept secrets". In its annual European Business Schools Ranking, the Financial Times condenses four individual rankings, which are published in the course of the year. This ranking focuses on Europe’s best business universities. Among these, the HSG occupies the following positions in the individual rankings:

  • Masters in Management: Ranking the Strategy and International Management (SIM-HSG) programme 1st worldwide
  • Executive education: 15th place among business schools in Europe
  • EMBA: 23nd place among business schools in Europe
  • MBA: 24rd place among business schools in Europe

In addition, the HSG occupies 6th place worldwide in the ranking of the Master’s programmes in Finance, however this is not taken into consideration in the European Business Schools Ranking.

According to the FT the top eleven schools in this ranking share an elite status. Five of these top eleven schools, including the HSG, belong to CEMS Global Alliance ‒ a coalition of academic and corporate institutions dedicated to educating and preparing future generations of global business through the CEMS Master’s in International Management.
