1 March 2017. Dr. Erwin Hettich and Prof. em. Dr. Günter Müller-Stewens have been declared Overall winners for their case "Tesla Motors: Business Model Configuration". The Overall Award goes to the most popular case across all nine categories.

The case outlines the evolution of Tesla's business model from a niche prototype constructor of electric sports cars to one of the top ten highest-valued car producers by market capitalisation in the world.

The Case Centre Awards and Competitions have been presented annually since 1991. These coveted accolades recognise worldwide excellence in case writing and teaching and also help to further raise the profile of the case method.

Günter Müller-Stewens is Professor emeritus of Strategic Management at the University of St.Gallen. Dr. Erwin Hettich was a lecturer at the HSG and research fellow at Harvard Business School until September 2016 and is now Principal Consultant at Namics AG.
