2 December 2010. The HSG’s Quality DevelopmentOffice has published the results of the latest graduate survey in a brochure. This monitoring process provides information about students’ progress in their degree courses and their satisfaction with subjects and working conditions at the HSG, as well as about job opportunities and possible salaries after graduation.

Satisfied with the range of courses
Besides studying behaviour patterns, teaching, practicality and the competencies that are taught, the survey also covers information about HSG students’ living situation and their previous educational histories. The results of the graduate survey provide an exact and stable picture of students’ life and work in St.Gallen. According to the survey, students are very satisfied with the range of courses at the HSG but the restricted space on the campus during the renovation period was criticised.

Analyses for quality assurance
The overall report is based on descriptive statistical findings, whose sources are the surveys conducted in spring and autumn 2009 among newcomers in the Assessment Year, all the graduates at Bachelor’s and Master’s Levels, as well as the doctoral students who obtained their degrees in 2009. The HSG uses the results for an assessment of the quality of its education, learning and placing successes on the labour market. In this context, the Institute of Business Education and Educational Management (IWP-HSG) provides concerted support in the further development of curricula.
