16 January 2011. For the first time, the SportImpuls Fitness event took place in the University’s now Sports Hall. Participants were able to enjoy the whole fitness gamut. Thus on Saturday, “power” was on the programme – people were working up a sweat without loud music, a light show and a great deal of “energy in the air”. On Saturday morning, participants gyrated their hips dancing zumba with Latino music, while in the afternoon, TaeBo made hips and bass boxes vibrate in equal measure.

Top trainers

On Sunday, things quietened down with pilates and yoga; the mood was completely different. Some things, though, were the same on both days: top trainers from home and abroad, exercise that encouraged you to join in, and many enthusiastic and motivated faces.

Unisport instructor Daniel Studer, who was responsible for the event, was greatly pleased with both days. “Fitness took on so many different and wide-ranging aspects on those two days that there had to be something there for everybody”, he says. He wished everyone a 2012 full of sports and exercise.

Family Days in June
Unisportwill continue its Sportimpuls series: on 2/3 June,it will organise the Family Days on the Kronberg in cooperation with Kronberg-Bahnen. In the autumn, public lectures will be held on sports issues, and 2013 will doubtless start in a sporty spirit with a fitness event.
