18 March 2015. Fierce competition and a lack of transparency have contributed towards a decrease not only in costs but also in social and economic standards in the global fashion and luxury goods industry. The growth prospects for sustainably produced fashion appear all the more promising. With the eco-fashion day, students intend to sensitise people to responsible clothing purchases and the fair production of textiles. “Un-Dress” 2015 will be devoted to the topic of “Awareness with style”.

Ecological labels on the catwalk

The fashion show is awaited with bated breath as every year. From 8.00-9.15 p.m., students will be showing ecological labels on the catwalk. The Appenzeller TV presenter Marco Fritsche will compere the evening. Ex-Miss Switzerland and HSG alumna Amanda Ammann will enhance the evening as a guest model. Designers such as aéthérée, pamb and Maria van Rensen will present their collection at the “Un-Dress” event. Globus St.Gallen will then offer the clothes for sale for a month.

The eco-fashion day with workshops, lectures, an exhibition and the fashion show is organised by the student associations oikos St.Gallen and marketing.club. “Un-Dress” 2015 will be open to the public; tickets for the fashion show are available from www.un-dress.ch.
