13 September 2017. The latest issue of our University magazine HSG Focus has appeared today. The twelve-part dossier on the topic of “Trade” makes use of the media of video and text to deal with topics such as the following:

• “Consumers basically shop differently today” – a video interview with Retail Professor Thomas Rudolph
• “Trading Places” – an article by the former CNN anchor and journalist Riz Khan
• “Geography is a crucial factor for Switzerland” – a video interview with International Economics Professor Reto Föllmi
• “There is no alternative to the globalisation of justice” – an interview with Business Ethicist Martin Booms
• “An Overview of Global Trade” – a video interview with International Trade Professor Simon Evenett
• “Market places in the dark net are more professional and customer-friendly” – an interview with book author and journalist Otto Hostettler

In an interview in our campus column, HSG Director of Administration Bruno Hensler provides an overview of the University of St.Gallen’s construction projects. In her column, Professor Yvette Sánchez deals with “Small-surface projections – of tweets and dinosaurs”, while we pay tribute to our Full Professor of Italian Language and Literature, Renato Martinoni, who will retire this semester.

Furthermore, we have portrayed Accounting Professor Tami Dinh and talked about a film prize which HSG students won for St.Gallen. Also, a study zooms in on the different levels of financial knowledge at the domestic language barrier in Switzerland, while an HSG institute recently prolonged cooperation with the US-American Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
