5 November 2013. This year, the "Open Cantonal School", an adult education service of Romanshorn Cantonal School, is dealing with the topic of "Treachery". Three HSG professors will address the topic in the four-part lecture series "The HSG in the region". They will discuss cultural, ethical, economic and legal aspects.

"But they all do it!"

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schmid, Professor of Russian Culture and Society, will be the first to speak in Romanshorn. On 12 November, he will ask the question, "Where is the borderline between informal practices and corruption in Russia?" Prof. Dr. Florian Wettstein, Professor of Business Ethics, will home in on corruption from an ethical angle on 19 November in his lecture entitled "'But they all do it!' – business-ethical reflections on corruption and integrity".

The fight against corruption

The increasing significance of codes of conduct in corporations will be discussed by Prof. Dr. Thomas Berndt, Professor of Accounting, on 26 November. His lecture will be entitled "Doing business without corruption – selected management aspects concerning compliance". The last lecture will be given on 2 December by Prof. Dr. Anne van Aaken. Under the heading of "International standards for the fight against corruption and their effectiveness", she will deal with the fight against corruption at home and abroad.

The lectures will take place in Romanshorn Cantonal School and will start at 5.45 p.m. Dates: Tuesday, 12, 19 and 26 November, and Monday 2 December.
