22 May 2019. In order to make the social impact of its research more visible, the University of St.Gallen (HSG) called upon its staff to submit research work which had a clearly recognisable impact in practice. The research projects that were submitted reflect a diversity of socially relevant issues.
The jury, which consists of practitioners and members of the University of St.Gallen, assessed applications from a wide variety of HSG research disciplines.
The three awards will be conferred on the occasion of the public dies academicus this coming Saturday, 25 May 2019, in the presence of Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, who will give the ceremonial address on the HSG’s greatest day of the year.

In the choice of the winners of the HSG Impact Awards, particular attention was paid to the social significance and practical implementation of the research work, as well as to the question of the extent to which a research project makes an essential contribution to societal, social and economic development.
The award winners honoured on the dies academicus of 25 May 2019 will receive a prize of CHF 5,000 each.
