3 November 2008. The festivities will begin on Saturday, 8 November 2008, at 10 a.m. with a public ceremony in the Audimax of the University of St.Gallen.

The ceremonial address will be delivered by probably the most prominent former member today, Federal Councillor Hans-Rudolf Merz v/o Zapfe. Further prominent speakers will be St.Gallen Mayor Thomas Scheitlin and Vice-President Prof. Dr. Thomas Bieger.
